Grounding braids by Helukabel are designed for EMC applications related to suppression of interference. Rounded contacts are made of seamless, pressed ferrules, while the entire construction is made of tinned copper. The braids are resistant to cyclic bending, and their wide operating temperature range spans from -20°C to 125°C. The thickness of a single strand in a braid is 0.2mm.
Braided straps, or simply “braids” are most commonly found in cars (e.g. as engine ground wires) as well as in switchboards and distribution boards. However, these products are used in virtually every industry: rail transport, power engineering, robotics, automation (production lines, heavy machinery), and even as components of control panels or control cabinets.
TME offers braids by Helukabel which are mounted using eyelet contacts (eyelet diameter: 4,5mm or 8.5mm). Available lengths span from 0.1m to 0.5m, wire cross-sections range from 6mm2 do 25mm2.
